Personal definition of leadership: Leadership is the fostering and implementation of a variety of skills and traits which together allow for one to  achieve a common goal set by one’s constituents by way of utilizing one’s available resources and inspiring one’s constituents in order to create a path by which one may ultimately achieve the predetermined goal. It’s those skills and traits which make effective leadership such a challenge, and it’s those skills and traits that you will learn about and practice should you join DOZ!

What your fellow Journeymen learned about you: I am both an extremely generous and sincere hugger and laugher. I am an extrovert; I see great value in focusing on one’s external environment. I am insatiably curious and continually seek to learn about and to experience something new.  I am addicted to social interaction and can’t get enough of them.

Why you love DOZ: I love DOZ because it has not only allowed me to recognize my strengths and weaknesses as a leader, but has given me the unique opportunity to practice my leadership style and to continually improve through introspection. At the same time, I have had the immense privilege of meeting and growing close to leaders from nearly every large organization and academic arena on campus. Not only have I become part of such a wide-spread network of leaders, but I have also made friends with a diverse group of smart, talented, kind, hardworking, and above all inspiring individuals. The people are, more than anything, the reason I love Delta Omicron Zeta.
